It is hard to discuss the way we view the world, and things in the world, without pulling in aspects of one belief system or another. When we lay our trust at the feet of an old methodology, i.e. an old religion, or philosophy, or set or spiritual principles, we are hoping it will get us through this world with as little trouble as possible. With one life to live, there is not much room for trial and error. Many of us struggle our whole lives without a clear path through the danger in life. The few of us who do find a valid port in the storm, it is our responsibility and privilege to act as beacons to the rest. Those Few inevitably share one thing in common, no matter what faith system they follow, they are generally well versed in love. They have found that the answers to life in love.
Now, this life can be bleak, it can be difficult, it can hurt. And if we train our eyes on only the negative aspect of living, we will lose out on most of what we are actually here for. However, love has hope, love finds answers, love conquers all. Love is a conscious act of choosing that which best benefits ourselves and those around us. When you act upon this principle then you rise above all the petty and dissimilar rules and dogma of all the different belief systems. But you must follow the principles of true love; gripping, angry, powerful, life changing love you must be drawn away into the inexorable currents of the amazing love that resides in all of us but is so often buried by worry, fear, and pain. And then, when only love remains, suffering is left behind.
